ARBUTUS SILHOUETTE
Common only to the Pacific Northwest, the Arbuts is an easily recognized tree with it's red and yellow skin-like bark and is most often found in sight of the ocean. It has waxy green leaves and is the only deciduous evergreen tree in Canada.
A faint glimpse of Mount Baker can be seen in the background which too is a recognizable element in these parts. I often suggest a human presence in my work by including a boat or perhaps a small cabin in the painting. This time I wanted the piece to be totally pristine.

A clean-edge painting can simply be hung "as is" for a modern contemporary look, or by using an optional frame that suits your decor.

They are supplied with a double acid free mat and foam backing board. All you need is a common 16x20" frame.
Mat options are:
    silver gray with dark blue inner mat - nice traditional look that fits well. A mid to dark colored frame looks best
    dark blue on dark blue - dramatic and bold look, very powerful. Best with a light colored frame like metallic or wood.
    white on white - traditional gallery choice, classy and elegant. Goes with all decors. Best with a mid to medium dark frame.
