Giclee print showing the 3 different mat options.
BIRD CAGES WALK
Built in 1915, Birdcages Walk is the
oldest grocery store still operating in Victoria. It is located at the
corner of Government Street and Michegan, just behind the
Parliament buildings (where the store got it's name). The domed tops of
the parliament buildings used to be referred to as "bird cages", as
they looked a lot like the old bird cages of days gone by.
One of the hardest and most rewarding paintings I've done, the
drawing was tricky. Years of sagging and warping has caused the facing
boards to bend gently in and out of mathematical perfection!
