BIRD CAGES WALK
Built in 1915, Birdcages Walk is the oldest grocery store still operating in Victoria. It is located at the corner of  Government Street and Michegan, just behind the Parliament buildings (where the store got it's name). The domed tops of the parliament buildings used to be referred to as "bird cages", as they looked a lot like  the old bird cages of days gone by.
One of the hardest and most rewarding paintings I've done,  the drawing was tricky. Years of sagging and warping has caused the facing boards to bend gently in and out of mathematical perfection!

ORIGINAL PAINTING:

30" x 40" acrylic  on 3/4" clean-edge canvas.  ( 28x38 face dimension )
A clean-edge painting can simply be hung "as is" for a modern contemporary look, or by using an optional frame that suits your decor.

GICLÉE PRINT
Giclée prints are the best type of reproductions available today.
They are supplied with a double acid free mat and foam backing board. All you need is a common 16x20" frame.

Mat options are:
silver gray with dark blue inner mat - nice traditional look that fits well.  A mid to dark colored frame looks best
dark blue on dark blue -  dramatic and bold look, very powerful. Best with a light colored frame like silver etc.
white on white - traditional gallery choice, classy and elegant.  Goes with all decors. Best with a mid to medium dark frame.
