Cape Cook
CAPE COOK
Named after the famous explorer, Cape Cook is more aptly called "The Cape Of  Storms".  Jutting miles out to see from the northern tip of Vancouver Island, this land mass often causes dangerous sea conditions. Wind and waves from the north and south combine making this one of the roughest areas along on Vancouver Island for navigators. Solander Island seen here has been so harshly beaten, that no trees can survive on it.

But, like a Japanese rock garden, there is a quiet beauty in the simple shapes and muted colors. A sail boat takes the opportunity to slip by while it can. Tony Only would have liked this place...
