FLOWER POTS IN SPRING
While
strolling through Royal Oak Garden Centre a few years ago, being an
artist I was naturally taken by the amazing bursts of color everywhere!
In a quiet corner of an adjacent room I saw a scene similar to this
one. I thought the earth tone pots, baskets and stone walk formed a
pleasant resting place for the eyes and a natural complement for the
colorful blossoms.
Although the painting looks "photographic" from a few feet away or in
this small image, it is interestingly quite loose and abstract. I've
been exploring new ways of working with acrylic pigments using water
and different application techniques which gives the finished painting
a loose watercolor appearance.
ORIGINAL
PAINTING:
30" x 40"

canvas. ( 28x38 face dimension )
A clean-edge painting can
simply
be hung "as is" for a modern contemporary look, or by using an optional
frame that suits your decor.
REMARQUÉ
A blend between an original and giclée print, each remarqué on canvas has some additional hand painting enhancements so will vary slightly from the above original.
They have the same finished dimensions as the original but with plain
painted black edges. Like the original, they can be framed or simply
hung as is.
GICLÉE PRINT

are the best type of reproductions
available today.

need is a common 16x20" frame.
Mat options are:
silver gray with dark blue inner mat - nice
traditional look that fits well. A mid to dark colored frame
looks best
dark
blue on dark
blue - dramatic and bold look, very powerful. Best with a light
colored frame like metalics or wood.
white on white - traditional gallery choice, classy
and elegant. Goes with all decors. Best with a mid to medium dark
frame.
